The background graphic above was originally designed for the cover of an electronic Conference's Notes. It is about a half page background image for any text over it--such as the Conference title. The graphic is a composite of 4 images--a circuit board, a view of the Earth from space, an air force fighter jet, and a satellite. The jet and satellite were removed from their pictures without any background and placed to the forefront of the picture above. The picture was then created to be a background with a white layer in front with the opacity reduced to create the effect shown.

Such a picture, with a reduced height, could be created as a web page header. Since the half page graphic is only 55kb, a header graphic using similar design techniques would be even smaller.
